My Autumn Must Haves this month

Welcome to my Desire/Inspire page, where each month I’ll share with you, lovely readers, what I’m lusting after in the worlds of clothes, shoes, accessories and sometimes interiors. Anything that takes my aesthetic fancy will make the cut. I’ll showcase designer stuff, as well as High Street and everything in between. I’m hoping you’ll find it useful for gaining ideas and inspiration and even putting together a specific look. I really look forward to sharing my inspiration with you and oh just posting pictures of beautiful things. xxx

Seasons of Mist

This month Erdem comes top for me, not because I am going to buy this dress featured below (I wish) but because his aesthetic is what’s inspiring me right now and seems to fit in with the direction I’m going style-wise. His latest collections are so romantic and ethereal too. Also I’ve staked my claim on this look because I missed out on the HM X Erdem collab this week, so I wanted to put it up there for the sheer hell of it. The green boots from River Island are luscious too and would look great with a Victoriana inspired dress a la Erdem just to bring the whole thing up to date. Also check out the River Island RI Studio leather jacket with embroidery as you scroll through – this capsule collection aimed at a more discerning less trend led audience (read older possibly!) and has some real gems in it. The quality is excellent and the tailoring also good. Again River Island hasn’t ever really been on my radar but RI Studio has led me firmly back in the fold.

There are some great sunglasses in there as well as a velvet bomber and a military-style jacket which I would pair with a pair of lightish Levis and those amazing heeled All Saints black boots.

A silk scarf by young British designer Bella Singleton who I discovered at The London Fashion Week Festival (and with whom I’m partnering for a BRILLIANT giveaway on the blog next week) could be worn with a grey puffed-sleeve knit and the burgundy AG flared jeans and you’d have all the swagger of jagger, in a good way. đŸ˜‰ I’ve put two Rixo dresses on the list – another British brand that has been on my radar ever it was mentioned in British Vogue last year. The label is all about lovely dresses and blouses with a witchy, rock and roll vibe, that is well on its way to being the UK’s answer to cult brands Reformation and Realisation Par.

Finally Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder foundation is a great way to infuse your skin with a youthful glow, especially now that the clocks have gone back and the weather’s turned colder, meaning skin can start to look weary.

Time to sit back and enjoy the scroll! x
